Fair Use Policy

Membership tiers may include unlimited consultation access, subject to this Fair Use Policy and the Terms of Membership. The purpose is to give members genuine year-round access to legal guidance without per-call hourly billing for included consultations, while preventing abuse that would deprive other members of timely service.

What is included (subject to confirmation)

• Telephone or platform consultations of reasonable duration on distinct legal questions
• General guidance, options, and recommended next steps
• Routing to document review, tax, or panel services where appropriate

Included vs additional vs external costs

Included membership services are those listed for your tier (e.g. consultations within this policy, document reviews within page limits). Additional professional services (extra drafting, litigation, specialists) are quoted separately. Court fees, government charges, bail, and third-party expenses are not covered by membership dues unless your tier expressly says otherwise.

What may be excluded or limited

• Extensive drafting, court appearances, or full litigation management (additional professional services)
• Repeated consultations on the same matter beyond reasonable follow-up
• Non-legal or abusive use of the hotline
• Matters outside geographical or panel coverage limits

Questions for legal sign-off

• Are unlimited consultations limited to telephone only, or also video/in-person?
• Maximum duration per consultation and per month?
• One active matter vs unlimited distinct matters?
• Does consultation include document review time or only oral advice?
• Specific reasonable-use thresholds and member notice process
